Second Annual Roman Tulis Alumni Game

Second Annual Roman Tulis Alumni Game Friday, June 17th at 6:30 PM

On behalf of the Tulis Family and Soccer School, we would like to invite you to join us for the Second Annual Alumni Match. It was always Roman’s dream to see his generations of players unite in celebration of the beautiful game, and although he cannot be with us in person, he will most certainly be smiling down on us for what is sure to be an afternoon of fun.

Over the past 18 years, Roman’s school has meant so much to so many different people. Whether sparking a career or inspiring an attitude, Roman’s passion was people-powered. Now, many of those same people are returning to pay tribute to this legend of a man in the hope that his passion will never fade, and that a new generation of players will be inspired to become “The Best [They] Can Be”!

The match will take place at our full time artificial turf field located at the MultiSport Centre of Excellence located at the 3677 Kensington Ave in Burnaby starting at 6:30 PM. In addition to a showcase of tremendous soccer talent featuring Marcus Haber, Kent O’Connor, and Colin Streckmann among many other current and former professional and collegiate athletes, the festivities will include a barbecue, games and contests, as well as a raffle for over $1000 worth of fantastic prizes. Kevin Harmse of the Vancouver Whitecaps, a Tulis School Boy winner from 2000, will also be on hand to take in the match. All proceeds raised will go directly toward the British Columbia Childhood Cancer Parents’ Association, an organization that strives to provide emotional and financial assistance to families struggling with childhood cancer.

This is a great chance for our young players to see where a little bit of skill and a lot of hard work can take them and to meet some of their soccer idols, many of whom were in their shoes just a few short years ago. Friends, relatives, neighbours, and teammates are more than welcome to attend, as this truly is a community event. We hope that you are able to join us on June 17th in celebrating the legacy of a great man and his hope for a bright future.
